At Emeritus, our mission is to make world-class education accessible and affordable to learners and organizations across the globe. Accessibility is central to this mission, including equitable access for learners with disabilities.
Digital Accessibility Standards
- We strive to comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) across our websites, landing pages, and learning platforms.
- Our learning platform is screen reader compatible and supports keyboard navigation.
- Flexible font size and colour contrast settings are available to enhance readability.
Media & Content Accessibility
- Closed captions are manually enabled for all live sessions. Learners encountering issues receive prompt support.
- Transcripts are provided for audio and video content wherever it's approved by school.
- Readings are offered in PDF format.
- We use structured headings and semantic HTML to support screen reader navigation.
Assessment Accessibility
- Assessments are not timed; the number of attempts can be adjusted upon receiving advance notice from learners.
- Alternative assessment formats may be considered based on individual accessibility needs.
